We use it to start our observation and then go to a far better guide. If you want something that is very light weight, can resist rain, and is a handy, but simple guide - this is a decent buy.|From the Back Cover|North Carolina Birds, An Introduction to Familiar Species, is a must-have, reference guide for beginners and experts alike.
