For instance, Madden frequently refers to "up and coming stars" like Elway and Marino. Written in John's usual breezy, earthy Joe Sixpack style, "One Knee..." is still a good, quick read for NFL|From School Library Journal|YA Insightful and amusing, Madden writes as he broadcasts, giving colorful pictures of the players he has seen and lists of, in his view, the "best players."
